Who is Stable for?

Stable suits anyone who wants to keep electricity matters simple. A fixed energy price brings peace of mind — use electricity when you need it, without worrying about price swings.

It’s a great option if you value clarity and budget control. The price remains stable and any changes are moderate.

You can choose Stable if your place of use is within the Herrfors Nät-Verkko distribution area, your annual consumption is under 100,000 kWh, and the site has not had Stable or Stable+ contract in the last 12 months.

Your kWh unit price stays the same every day, with no sudden increases.

Predictability

Monthly costs are easier to plan.

Simplicity

No need to track the market or shift your usage.

Frequently asked questions about the Stable contract

What does “open-ended fixed-price” mean?

You get a fixed energy price with no fixed term. The contract runs until further notice and you can terminate it with 14 days’ notice.

Can the price change?

The price is stable. If we need to adjust it due to market conditions or legislation, we’ll notify you at least 30 days in advance.

How is this different from a fixed-term contract?

Open-ended contracts are more flexible: no fixed period, and you can change or terminate at any time. Fixed-term contracts lock both price and term; switching mid-term isn’t possible.

How is the price of electricity determined?

From a fixed energy price (c/kWh) plus a monthly standing charge. It does not follow hourly market fluctuations.

How can I cancel the contract or switch to another product?

Via customer service or our online service. Notice period is 14 days. You can switch to another Herrfors product at any time, but if you leave this product you can’t return to it for 12 months. 

What happens if I move to another address?

You can end the contract easily online or through customer service.

Can I sign this contract if I already have another electricity contract?

Yes. If your current contract is open-ended, Vakaa can replace it. If you’re on a fixed term, Vakaa can start after it ends.

Does the contract include renewable energy?

Not automatically. You can add 100% renewable as an option.

Is the price the same throughout Finland?

The sales price is the same across areas. The product is available only within the Herrfors Nät distribution area. Your total cost also includes your local network company’s transmission charges, which we don’t control.

Can I get an e-invoice?

An e-invoice is an easy and safe way to pay your electricity bill. You can activate the e-invoice in your own online bank by searching for Oy Herrfors Ab as the invoicer and entering the requested information from your invoice. The invoices are then sent directly to your online bank for approval.

 Can I benefit from shifting usage to cheaper Spot hours with Stable?

Financially, no. Vakaa has a fixed price. If you want to benefit from timing, consider Spot-priced products or Stable+. From an environmental view, shifting to lower-emission hours is always positive.
