Dennis Fleen, line technician
The role of a line technician at Herrfors is highly varied—you get to work with both rural and urban electrical networks, on the ground and up in the air. That diversity was one of the main reasons Dennis decided to join Herrfors Nät-Verkko after eight years at another electricity network company. As a larger operator, Herrfors offers a broader range of tasks, working environments, and, of course, many new colleagues—who quickly welcomed Dennis as part of the close-knit team.

One of Herrfors’ core strengths in HR policy is the ongoing training of both new and seasoned employees. Every new hire, including summer workers, receives a comprehensive introduction to the company—its operations, values, and goals—which lays a solid foundation for understanding the business and its culture.
Through continuous training programs, both internal and with external partners, Herrfors actively supports employee development—professionally and personally.
Dennis has a background in electrical automation, which is one of the required areas of study for line technicians. Along with technical qualifications, the role demands good physical condition and a calm, focused attitude, particularly to avoid risks in hazardous situations.
Dennis stays in shape through running, motorcycling, and skiing, and he’s also an active member of the Herrfors Human Energy team.
As the youngest member of Herrfors’ line crew, Dennis enjoys the wide range of tasks the job brings. In summer, he’s busy with line construction projects; in winter, the focus shifts to maintenance work—often reached by ATV or snowmobile, allowing him to enjoy the beauty of nature year-round.
