Moving? Order your electricity contract easily and quickly.

A new home, new routines – but your electricity matters are handled with the same reliability as always. Herrfors helps you with your move by making it quick and easy to order an electricity contract. Get your contract sorted with just a few clicks – even on the same day!

A mover’s checklist for the electricity contract

Before moving

Preferably 14 days in advance

Don’t forget to end your electricity contract for your old residence.

Do you have a fixed-term contract?

No. A new electricity sales contract must always be made for a new place of use. A fixed-term contract ends when you move out.

Do you have an open-ended contract?

If you wish, you can change your electricity supplier when moving.

Contact your electricity supplier

Notify them of your moving date and your new address and the contract type you have chosen.

Terminate the electricity network contract for your old residence

Notify your moving date.
Check the possible notice period (usually 14 days).

After the move

Confirmation from the electricity company

Check that you receive a confirmation of your new contract. The old contract is not terminated automatically.

First invoice

Make sure all details (address and contract type) are correct.
