Frequently Asked Questions
Here you’ll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about selling surplus electricity.
No. We only purchase surplus if your electricity sales agreement is with us.
Yes. The agreement is valid until further notice and can be terminated with a 14-day notice period.
Net metering means your consumption and production are compared , only the portion of electricity that exceeds your consumption can be measured and sold to the grid.
You can only sell the portion that flows to the grid. If you consume more than you produce, no surplus is created and nothing can be sold.
Contact your grid company for exact measurement practices.
Yes. Having a battery does not prevent surplus sales, but it does affect how much electricity goes to the grid. Surplus is only created when production exceeds both your consumption and the battery’s storage needs.
A battery can also help you time your electricity use better and maximize your self-consumption.
