Notice of cable work in Jakobstad

Herrfors Nät-Verkko Oy Ab will begin a project to strengthen the electricity network in Jakobstad in week 44.

Work will start near the shopping centre on Fabriksgatan and will involve excavation and the installation of new underground cables towards the town centre.

The project aims to improve the reliability of the electricity supply and increase the capacity of the distribution network. This investment is part of our long-term work to ensure safe and reliable electricity distribution.

To keep the project on schedule, work will also take place outside normal working hours.

Temporary traffic restrictions and changes to traffic arrangements may occur during the project. We therefore ask all road users to take particular care near the work area and follow temporary traffic signs and instructions.

The work is expected to be completed during November 2026.
